The Spacefinder project focused on section drawing, particularly the perspective section. The project was intended to transition from the graphical explorations of the spatial collages to the precise measurement of occupiable rooms. Spacefinder involved examining how architecture positions people in relation to one another and frames views within spaces.
Building on the foundation of Viewfinder, the project uses a combined spatial collage as a guide to create a hybrid stack-and-shape section typology. The Stack element highlighted spatial hierarchy, while the Shape component emphasized implied spaces with voluminous ceilings that guided natural light. The structure combined a mass concrete substructure with a superstructure made of Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and a metal framework, balancing aesthetic appeal with structural integrity.
