Airport expansion and art-mile

Year
2026

An airport terminal designed around the idea that transit space and cultural space don't need to be separated. Ibizannale proposes an 'art-mile' running through the landside-to-airside sequence, using structural and material detailing to soften the usual hard edge between civic building and infrastructure.

The project's model photography and phasing diagrams work through construction logic in stages, treating the terminal less as a single object and more as an evolving public ground.

The design strategy merges a new art mile through the existing framework, to activate the space beneath a climate adaptive pavilion.
